Older Junior Tennis Lessons

Junior Tennis 11 - 18yr olds    NORTON PINES FALL TENNIS PROGRAM FALL JUNIOR TENNIS BEGINS SEPTEMBER 7, 2010!   Older Juniors Tennis: The Older Juniors tennis program for the indoor season is designed for each student to learn how to become a "complete" player.  Tennis is no longer just a baseline or serve and volley game.  Students will learn how to become a "COMPLETE" player during the month long programs through drill classes twice a week, and the Challenge Ladder to promote learning, practice and competition.   TOURNAMENT TEAM (11-14 years old) (Wednesdays 6 - 8pm & Sunday 12pm - 2pm)                     Our Tournament Team class is for players 10-13 years old that are newer to competition on a full court and need stroke development as well as tactics.  Players in this class will learn proper shot mechanics, tactics, and court coverage through a fun games based approach.  The process of playing matches as well as etiquette will be covered to prepare students to play USTA tournaments and High School Tennis in the future.    HIGH SCHOOL SKILLS & DRILLS (13-18 years old)   (Wednesdays 6 - 8pm & Sunday 12pm - 2pm)                   Skills & Drills will promote proper stroke development with an emphasis on singles and doubles tactics.  Players in this level have limited competitive experience in USTA tournaments/High School Varsity Tennis and are looking to increase their level of play mechanically, tactically and strategically with lots of instruction and a games based approach.    ELITE (13-18 years old)  (Mondays & Wednesdays 4 - 6pm) ELITE is our highest level junior drill class. This class will cover advanced technique and tactics to execute strategies for singles and doubles. All players in this class should have a USTA district ranking and/or be playing at a high level of High School Varsity Tennis. Players should be fundamentally sound with stroke production as the focus of this level is the ability to apply and execute tactics and strategies. Approval is required to gain entrance into ELITE.   CHALLENGE LADDER (10-18 years old) Dates and Times TBA in October This is a weighted Junior Challenge Ladder with arranged matches at each level to allow players to compete with the skills that they have learned and practiced.   Classes are priced at $12/hr for members, $15/hr for non-members and are billed by the month at the beginning of each month.  Make-ups are based on class availability and are not guaranteed.  If you do need to make-up a class please speak with your tennis pro at the beginning of the session.
