Younger Juniors Tennis:

Our younger juniors program (10&under) will be run in conjunction with the ITF (International Tennis Federation) Tennis10s official program.  This is the system that Quickstart is based on.  This program is designed to allow players to learn skills faster play the game quicker and provides a graduated system of progress that helps players understand how they are developing.  Our classes this summer will be divided into three fun-learning based levels; Red (5-8 year olds), Orange (7-9 year olds) and Green (9-10 year olds) and meet twice a week.    We will still be offering our Little Stars classes, for 4 & 5 year olds that are brand new to the game, one day a week to introduce basic movement and skills needed to play tennis.

Little Stars (4-5 years old)

(Tuesdays & Fridays 4:00 – 4:30 pm)      

Little Stars is a great way to introduce the game of tennis to your 4 or 5 year old.  This class is for brand new players to the sport and focuses on FUN, movement and coordination skills needed to play tennis. 

RED (5-8 years old)

(Tuesdays & Fridays 4:30 – 5:00 pm)      

Our RED level will be a blast for your 5-8 year olds.  It teaches them how to build a rally first, then how to play tennis through simple tactics and technical instruction.  The emphasis in this class will be rally, serve and play TENNIS!  This class will be using RED balls on 36' courts.  Players will move up to ORANGE upon Parent or Pro recommendation and evaluation.

ORANGE (7-9 years old)

(Tuesdays & Fridays 5:00 – 6:00 pm)      

ORANGE level is a great transition level between playing on a 36' court and a full court.  This level is taught on a 60' court with an orange low compression tennis ball.  Players will begin to learn how to play all areas of the court by coming to the net, learning to attack and defend all while applying their existing skills from RED to a larger court.  Orange will have a strong emphasis on developing core skills and tactics while furthering technique.

GREEN (9-12 years old)

(Tuesdays & Fridays 5:00-6:00 pm)        

GREEN level is played on a full court with green balls that are 25% slower than standard yellow tennis balls.  Players will continue to build on their technical skills while learning to understand tactics and decision making from different areas of the court based upon their position, the oncoming ball and the position of their opponent.  The emphasis in GREEN will be court coverage, decision making and tactics to allow players to move to faster yellow balls with success!

Classes are priced at $12/hr for members, $15/hr for non-members and are billed by the month at the beginning of each month.  Make-ups are based on class availability and are not guaranteed.  If you do need to make-up a class please speak with your tennis pro at the beginning of the session.
